It is with deep sadness that I am writing on behalf of the TI movement to extend our sympathies and condolences to Richard Joseph ́s family, friends, and colleagues at his unexpected death.

Richard was a great friend to TI and a highly committed anti-corruption activist in his country. Since his appointment as Chairman and Director of TTTI in 2010, Richard also played a key role in expanding TI ́s work in the Caribbean region.

My colleagues from the Americas department at TI are also deeply saddened by Richard ́s passing, and in particular remember his great hospitality and unflagging support to the TI movement.

Valued for his friendliness, professionalism and humour, Richard Joseph will be greatly missed by Transparency International. Our thoughts are with his family and the staff of TTTI.
